On tap for the 4th Anniversary event at Blue Palms Brewhouse in Los Angeles, CA.
Pours a clear amber with a foamy khaki head that settles to a film on top of the beer. Small streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, toast, caramel, and some nutty aromas. Taste is much the same with a slight fruity flavor. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer that is drinkable but I wouldn’t go for this one again.

The pour is a clear amber color with a khaki head. Aroma of toasted malts, caramel, toffee, light grassy hops, and bread. Only light hops, but I suppose it is an Irish Red. A good creamy sweetness on the palate, strong bready malt character, toffee, and a light floral hoppiness. A really good toasted flavor, too. Very nice beer.

On tap at Beachwood Seal Beach
I've steered away from Irish reds since Smithwicks declined (IMO). I was pleasantly surprised with this one.
A-deep red
S-sweet/biscuit..mild hops
T-smooth..malt sweetness with dry hoppiness near the end
M-soft..velvety for the style
O-very enjoyable..may go back for one tonight.

I had this beer on tap at Bailey's BBQ/Julian Brewing Company 07/20/2012
This beer was served at the proper temp in a pint glass
A- Deep ruby color and excellent clarity
S-I detected some toffee/caramel notes
T-Impressed by the balance of malt sweetness and minor hop flavor-Very well made beer
M-This is a clean beer that does not coat the mouth with lingering flavors, nice carbonation
O-I like this beer it was a easy drinking and was great with the brisket

On-tap at Beachwood I, from Port Ocean Beach,
A: Pours a deep amber to red, with a soft finger of white foam, spotty lace.
S: Light overall nose, some sweet caramel.
T: Dominated by sweet caramel maltiness, very much to style. Minor hop character, this is a malt dominated brew. Biscuity, semi-sweet.
M: Light-bodied, soft and frothy carbonation, easy drinking.
O: An enjoyable Irish Red; a style that doesn't get brewed too often. I enjoyed this pint.
