12 ounce draft pour into a shaker glass.
Appearance: Polished bronze with a foam cap that thinned out and broke apart quickly.
Smell: Citrus peel and a suggestion of grass.
Taste: Sharp, citrus bitterness. I spent the entire pint trying to isolate another flavor, but it was pretty simple and straightforward. Sort of a one trick pony.
Mouthfeel: Medium body, medium carbonation.
Overall: I’ve had the good fortune of sampling three of these Ales for ALS beers, and I am sad to report that this is the least inspiring of the trio. One could have easily produced this IPA with hops that are currently commercially available. It’s a decent, easy-drinking beer, but certainly not something that I would make an additional trip to Pizza Port for.
