Canned 4/12/22
Finger and one half of off-white head forms over a slightly cloudy amber stew. Decent retention, minimal lacing. Smells malty up front with a fruity note bringing up the rear. Raisins? Something to do with the yeast they used? Smells pretty nice, regardless. Tastes phenomenal; damn. Very, very malty with notes of raisin bread. Wicked soft, velvety smooth mouthfeel. Northern tier of medium-bodied. Lingering, low-level bitterness lingers just a touch too long. Damn, though; this ended up being quite good.

Clear shimmering amber, near red, with a thick and dense khaki blanket settling slowly to a thick bubbly collar leaving wobbly lacing.
Bready, lightly toasted malt pairs with a woody, mild bite of pine in the medium crisp body that's fairly bitter and a little astringent, coming to a chewy dry finish.
This served as a nice palate cleanser next to the stout we caved in to buying on-site at the Compound, which I'll be reviewing next...

L: Firefly amber. Good froth to it.
S: Fresh sticky hops.
T: Malty and hoppy. The hops taste very fresh and it has somewhat of a microbrew feel to it.
F: Full bodied. Smooth for it's weight. Bitter and delicious.
O: I would take Amber Waves over Fat Tire or Boston lager any day of the week.

Again not sure why this is retired picked it up in pounder style at the Allegheny six pack shop. Good looking amber very red amber color with just a 1/4 inch of foam. Smells of sweet caramel, mild walnuts, and a touch of bread. Taste is about the same very clean with a smooth light to medium body very easy to finish.
Overall a very good amber ale I would buy again.

Crowler into a 22oz snifter appears clear amber with a light khaki head a finger tall that fades leaving patchy lace.
Aroma is slightly fruity with a solid backing of bready to biscuit malt with a hint of caramel sweetness and herbal hops.
Taste is malt forward with the previously mentioned toasty qualities like biscuit, bread and caramel with a bit of fruity bitter notes to contrast.
Medium in body with midest carbonation. A fine amber ale thats worth checking out.
