Thanks tommyguz for hooking me up with a 1-liter of this. Poured from a growler into a matching Voodoo teku, the brew appears a clear golden copper color. Some white sudsy head rests atop fading slowly leaving spotty lace.
The smell is grassy with grapefruit and slight orange rind/extended fruity qualities. Not really complex by any means and not the most bright hop but enjoyable nonetheless.
The taste leads off with grass and then grapefruit pith and pulp with a little rindy orange character. The flavor of this brew is pretty linear and im struggling to describe the depth of hop flavor as being anything other than grassy and grapefruit/orange citrus.
This is light bodied and moderately carbonated. It is clean and easy drinking. For what this is...(an experiment in single hop character) I appreciate it. However, the hop itself I do not feel lends itself as being a solo sort of hop as it lacks depth and overall pop. Having said that, if voodoo keeps brewing these single hop experiments, im on board with learning/trying them all as well.
