enjoyed this on tap at the voodoo tap takeover at Warwick Hotel in Hummelstown.
Served chilled in a standard pint.
The color is dark caramel with small white head and fine bead. The smell is mildly floral with a slight medicinal edge and hint of herbal tea-like odor. The feel is very high in carbonation with mild sweetness and slight phenolic yeast with a gentlle spice and tangy yeast texture with dry finish.
The taste is a mix of lemony spice with mild malt adding a caramel element and tea-like herbal flavors of chai with honey in the middle with a strange almost medicinal quality as it finishes tangy with some yeast vinous dark grape quality. Overall a decent beer to try more or less but the saison character is lost a little to the spice and tea...which is why I entered it as an herb beer.
