It's a rich dark amber in hue with a creamy head that lasts a good while. Good clarity and solid looking beer overall.
The smell is fruity with tons of Belgian yeast character showing off fig, raisin, plum, and what have you. Very nice aroma with only a slight hint of heat, a very appropriate aroma for the style.
The taste has full on dark fruit and candi sugar goodness, a bit of earthy hops, brown sugar, toffee, raisin, date, and apple. There is little to no alcohol burn on this, dangerous for a beer of this magnitude.
Full bodied Quad with a medium level of carbonation. Full and satisfying on the palate and dangerously drinkable.
Overall it's well above average. The Belgian yeast profile in this is highly agreeable. Lots of dark fruit and masked alcohol.

12 oz bottle in Atlanta.
Looks good, including a fine head.
Intriguing and appealing aroma.
The flavor doesn't follow and is disappointing. Surprisingly vegetative.

Pours a brown cola look with a small head.
Malty like a scotch ale.
Nothing extraordinary, but tasty and easy to drink.
