16 oz can with a 11 August 2025 canning date stamped on the bottom.
Appearance. This has an excellent looking reddish-copper colored body with high clarity, but the head is weak and lacing non-existent.
Moderately strong aroma and flavor. Well balanced with plenty of malty flavor.

16 ounce can, another one from Brutaltruth! Served in a dimpled mug, the beer pours a somewhat hazy amber color with about an inch and a half off-white head that stuck around a little while. Decent amount of lacing. The brew smells like toasted malt, toffee, caramel and some spicy hops. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some nutty flavors noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's smooth and a bit coating with a good amount of carbonation. Easy enough to drink. Thought this one was a good overall Märzen, wouldn't mind trying this one again in the future!

From the 16 oz can in a snifter via Jungle Jim's. This solid little marzen pours a
deep bunt auburn amber with a moderate head of white foam that settles to a
thin ring. Nose of toasted malt, caramel, faint spicy hops, and toffee amongst grain
notes. Flavors nail it for the style with toasted malts, light grain, toffee, caramel,
toffee, and spicy hops amongst some herbal hops. Mouth feel is medium, medium light
carbonation, smooth, quaffable, and a lightly dry finish.
Overall, a SOLID brew from a groovy little brewery!
Cheers

solid oktoberfest type here, one of the better lagers we had while visiting, and one of the more classic and true to style specimens too, easy drinking as these go with a little less body and residual sugar than many, decent carbonation, good clean lagering too. nice color depth on this, kilned and nutty, short of roasted but with some warmth to it, husky and hully in a good way, some caramel and toffee in the nose, german lager yeast, simple and familiar but well composed. the flavor has subtle hazelnut and almond nuance, a toasted bready aspect, nice minerality at its core, and a relatively dry and quick finish. it feels maybe faintly thin, could use a splash more bubbles, but its close. i like the baked heartiness of the malt flavor, the obviously german yeast, and the overall simplicity, a lot of their beers have exotic ingredients or are kind of crazy ideas and extreme things, so it was cool to have something a little more traditional where the quality can be taken in a bit more readily. drinkable, good with salty good, and right on for autumn while its still here. im still not totally sold on voodoo beers, but i liked this one. a less is more kind of seasonal lager.

Date on can: 07/28/23.
Pours a crystal clear amber in color with a finger and a half of frothy white head on top which dissipates rather quickly to a thin layer of lacing, and eventually disappears. Carbonation looks average for the style. There is a bit of lacing as you drink initially, although it slides down to meet the beer. After a few minutes, it has an almost flat-appearance, which is pretty typical for the style in my experience.
Aroma is fruity with a hint of sourness/herbalness. There is some toasty malt sweetness in the background, but it's not overly pungent, at least not right after the pour. Perhaps it will open up a bit more as the beer warms (edit: getting more sweet/toasty grains as it warms, but still not very pungent). Definitely more hop-forward than expected. It's a pleasant aroma, but not what I would expect from the style.
Taste follows the nose quite well. It's bitter overall, but the sweetness of the malts balances it out somewhat. The toasted maltiness comes through a lot more than in the aroma, especially right before the swallow, but still takes a back seat and mostly serves as a conduit for the hops. Quite fruity with citrus, apple and a little bit of spice. Aftertaste is a mix of toasted maltiness and dry, bitterness, maybe even a hint of cinnamon in there and some herbal tea-like notes. No yeast.
This is medium bodied with lighter carbonation and a bit of zest as you swallow. There's a hint of chewiness, but it also feels a tad thin. The finish is fairly dry. Quite drinkable.
Interesting. I did enjoy this one, but I found it to be a bit lacking in flavor and palate complexity. It almost tastes more like an amber ale than a Marzen to me due to the hoppiness and malt profile. I picked it up because the packaging gave me a laugh. I could see this pairing very nicely with a pretzel or sausages with sauerkraut, and it definitely gives fall vibes. Prost!

Two big fingers of light khaki head float over a deep copper body. Moderate lacing. Deep malt profile on the nose mingled with spicy hops if you swirl it about. Smells fookin' great. Tastes pretty nice as well. Sweet malt and a heaping helping of earthy hops. Finishes a little on the dry side. Medium-to-somewhere-slightly-north-of-medium body. This is really quite nice and quite possibly the best marzen I've had in years.

Deep ruby amber with nice clarity. Smell is a bit void or perhaps it's just me. Taste is rich and far more bitter than the average marzen. Strongly in its favor the bittering taste of very old school German or English hop varieties - earthy, pithy, dirt like, fall leaves etc. Has just the slightest touch of a candy corn sweetness you expect in an American marzen (IE sam adams or great lakes caramel sweetness).
Overall this is an absolutely killer stateside okto that departs from the norm with its unique bittering. Im really enjoying it for how not contrived it is. That is - oktoberfests easily please the masses with their sweetness and drinkability that even bud light drinkers often take to. This beer is far more edgy and has ibu's i perceive in line with a SNPA all the while still tasting like a malty oktoberfest.

Thanks to Ozzylizard for this one, from his recent box in NBS BIF #14. 16oz can (dated 9/9/21) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a bright, clean, clear coppery-amber color with over an inch of light khaki head that had moderate retention and no lacing.
The aroma had the expected slightly sweet malt base, and floral hop that typify the style. There also seemed to be a light touch of hop spiciness as well.
Very similar on the tongue, with the spicy hop being a bit more dominant than the floral, but both were solidly apparent.
The body was smooth, maybe a touch fuller than light, even, and had a finish that started out slightly sweet, but dried out after a few moments.
Drinkability was very good, and easy and repeatable quaffer for sure.
Overall, a very nice take on the style. Certainly worth a shot if you see it.

Corny, grainy cereal expresses up front as the medium-full fluffy body's sharply crisp carbonation comes to a semi-dry finish. However, it improves at second and third sip with some nutty toast and corn nuts.
