I usually don't like barrel aged beer but this one is done well. The aging takes a back seat to beer flavors to enhance and not overpower. Enjoyed this at 5 & 20.

Review from notes taken back in June. Thanks Tommyguz for the 1-liter growler hookup.
Poured into a snifter, the brew appears a clear brown color with a white cap that fades slowly.
The nose on this is all sorts of caramelized sugars, very malt centric like bread to biscuit character and slight accenting fruitiness.
The taste is sweet with bready grain then some of that biscuit character, nondescript fruit and slight buttery aspect.
This is light in body with modest carbonation. Overall a pretty easy drinking brew and enjoyable if you like malty brews. Ive had several "steinbiers" and this one ranks up there with the best of them.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
