This Is our Imperial Stout that we age in conditioning tanks with oak staves. This adds a classic character of old world aging with out the Bourbon tones. This black ale is about 12% alc. and very rich in roasted and chocolate malt tones. Velvety smooth and able to be aged for years.

I tried seven of their beers at the Scranton location, and they all have the same odd off taste.
Pretty thin body wise as well.

Overall, too much of everything. And I don’t dig the dirty smoke flavor.

Look For the solid black with a dark tan head...
SRM is in the '60s probably...
Taste: sweet malty balance bittering but more on the sweet milk style ... This one slows you down... And in a good way
Feel: full body and round what you'd expect from an imperial... There's a good alcohol load but it is quite balanced... It's sweet with a balance bitter.. slides the back of the throat and gently goes down... Very nice for the end of the night

Poured stout black with a 1 cm light brown head that left sparse lacing.
The taste is very much an RIS with all that implies- vast amounts of roasted malt, some hops to carry the edge and mild notes of oak. Coffee, cacao, dark fruit, more coffee, or maybe coffee grounds.
The feel is lightly viscous, perfectly appropriate for the style.
OA, glad I found a 4 pack.

Voodoo Big Black Voodoo Daddy RIS, 12% ABV. Pours brownish black, with a ring of light-brown bubbles that left no lacing. Aroma is sweet malts. Taste is roast malt, coffee, oak, and brown sugar, slightly sweet, equally bitter. Decent mouthfeel, overall excellent.

2022 can poured in 2025. Pours pitch black - not too thick. Almost no head. The nose is really interesting. Getting some black licorice, dark chocolate, strong notes of coffee, pipe tobacco, molasses, and blackberries.
The taste is really nice. Classic RIS to me. Big charred wood notes, along with roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee grounds, burnt vanilla, molasses, Dutch black licorice drops, light note of rubber, and lots of dark bread flowing throughout. Lovely and super flavorful stout!
Great mouthfeel on this one - not thin but not too thick. Aftertaste is salted black licorice and dark roasted malts.

I was expecting to get a very booze-forward stout, but instead I ended up drinking a well-balanced, and at times almost something akin to a dessert beer. Great dark looking beer, the smell was malty and sweet to match the taste. Mouthfeel was medium-bodied but smooth and overall this ended up being something very good, after letting it sit a year (I should mention...)
