Via the handpump at the recent barrel room collection release. I believe this was served at all locations on release day via a gravity fed firkin but at Arch street they served this via the beer engine.
Served in their barrel room
collection snifter, the brew appears rich black in color with a frothy khaki
head that holds well leaving soapy lace as it fades.
The nose is sweet with vanilla, some roasty chocolate then a contrasting citrusy aspect mingled with earthen charred grain.
It tastes like bitter chocolate, earthen char, lowkey smoke contrasted by vanilla sweetness and a hint of citrus like the nose indicated.
This is medium in body with lighter levels of carbonation due to its delivery. Overall fantastic and something id love to see released regularly.
