This 8 ball black brew has a creamy tan head that retains well, leaving a thick collar after subsiding.
The medium-full body starts fluffy before its carbonation sharpens into a dark malt tang. This is accented by milk chocolate with a hint of banana Runts before coming to a just dry finish, where maple candy comes out on the exhale.
The second sip is hotter and boozier, but without any discernable barrel character. While fusel, it's also not terrible. A mild trio of marzipan, licorice and tobacco also blooms, continuing to improve the profile the more it warms, capped off by a mildly smoky maple kiss.
