Glossy black with a tall, amazingly dark brown head that's vibrant in its own special way, retaining well while condensing to an unevenly active creamy blanket with a central carbonation spring that pulsates like a heartbeat. God damn the darkness on that head is hypnotizing!
The nose is classic Voodoo, with an almost smoky roast matched by layers upon layers of woody cask, but then chocolatey vanilla suddenly glides right in, much like Keebler Sugar Wafers.
Taste brings it back to campfire roast up front, as well as ashy cigar in the swallow, but in the middle is charred yet chocolate drizzled marshmallow. Thankfully this was left entirely untainted by Horus and their penchant for undrinkable acridity.
The medium body has more froth than is usual for Voodoo, as its soft presence comes to a tingly and warming semi-dry finish. Actually, as it comes to room temperature, blooming tannins begin to dry it up a good bit more.
