A lightly sheened but otherwise clear amber body builds a short khaki head that retains only very fine and thin.
Pleasantly unassuming, softly malty and lightly toasty, the crisp medium body expresses a cleanly quaffable taste that finishes semi-dry and tingly, but I don't really detect anything specific that the foeder adds here.
The base is a good beer, and at least nothing detrimental happened in the extra time spent aging, but I'm not really sure I could tell them apart if I had the opportunity to side by side. Perhaps some of the grainy qualities have receded into the oak, though.
