Dark opaque black with minimal head.
While I found myself enjoying the base a little more this time around than in the past, the additions here seems to have made it a touch sharper and hotter in a way, finishing dry yet sticky. The nutella is mild, and sort of vanilla frosting-like.
I just don't understand why they make so much BBVD every year, let alone make an event of it, while spending the time and effort on draft variants. It's clear it's not the beloved beer it once may have been, and with their BRC collection doing the heavy lifting on the dark front, they should probably retire this one.
