8 ball black with a short tan head dying to a thin chain.
A pleasant smoke resides behind notes of anise, allspice, and cinnamon--even verging into licorice from that anise--all tempered by a bitter toasty bite.
This is better than a lot of autumnal beers I've had this year, and despite its low ABV this actually has a medium-full body with a round froth cut by its fine carbonation before coming to a just lightly chewy dry finish.
