Bottle pour; pour is near-thicc with no head. Nose is heavy on the OF barrel. Flavor is barrel forward with notes of caramel and roast. Body is full. Finish is relatively short and dry.

poured from a gold-waxed 12oz bottle into a perennial snifter. thick, oily black with a dark brown thin foam cap that quickly recedes to a few swirls here and there. smooth bourbon, chocolate and light, earthy tobacco on the nose. taste follows with a little more barrel char than the nose but also more chocolate too. thick, sludgy mouthfeel. full from start to finish. this is one of my favorites in this series of the ones i’ve been able to try.

8 ball black with a thin head of chocolate milk tan. A swirl strongly stains the glass brown.
Not only does this have a little more punch to it than usual, but it also has a hint of something like red licorice or maybe even a little Luxardo, all in addition to the wonderful darker oak vanillin and Reisen threads. Actually, it's quite strong on the vanilla, especially over time. As it warms, my partner and I also begin to detect a little peanut butter.

Reminds me of double oaked b1 and b2 and of heart and soul. On the sweeter side and hotter than most. Overall one of the better of the last 3 years.
