The base for this third batch of Hot Garbage is composed of a wide variety of malts that we use in our stouts all mashed up together into one huge grain bill. This imperial stout was then laid down for 42 months in Sazerac rye whiskey barrels.

poured from a 12oz. bottle (maroon wax with gold glitter / flakes) into a perennial snifter. pours thick black with the slightest dark mocha brown foam cap that quickly fades to a ring around the glass. heavy whiskey, barrel char, light chocolate and vanilla, and even lighter tobacco on the nose. taste follows with more whiskey and vanilla up front and light chocolate in the finish. the barrel on this thing is massive, as per usually with voodoo. thick, full mouthfeel. just enough carbonation to keep it from being sludgy. really good stuff.

Glossy black with a thin tan head dispersing to a fine chain around the circumference.
A woody mocha palate follows a mildly spiced nose within a body that is fairly viscous. That viscosity enrobes a delicately warming vanilla bean syrup character before coming to a cigar smoke finish.
As it warms, a touch of alder emerges in the woodiness, accompanied by more bittering, drying cacao and tobacco.
