poured from a burgundy (with feathers) waxed 12oz bottle into a perennial snifter. pours a thick and shiny black like motor oil with a thin layer of dark brown foam head that recedes into a thin collar around the rim of the glass. lots of chocolate and bourbon with this one both on the nose and in the taste. more so in the taste but there’s also bourbon-soaked oak and light vanilla in the taste as well. it’s more of a straight up whiskey sting on the nose. thick, full mouthfeel. lower carbonation that borders on gloopy but doesn’t reach that weldwerks-style gelatinous mouthfeel. damn fine barrel-aged imperial stout. probably my favorite of the hot garbage series that i’ve been able to try thus far.

Tar black with a thin burnt brown sheet of head.
Pouring thicker than used motor oil, this features all the classic Voodoo hallmarks, but what's apparent to me is that they all seem amped up. The roast has levels of cigar countered by gooey campfire s'mores as damp graham and DARK chocolate are accented by toasted coffee.
Its thickness subdues the char as best it can, though, at least at colder temperatures. However, as it warms, so too does it warm the steel trap. It also becomes even more chocolatey, unusually chocolatey, so much so it even seems like nibs were added.
