This one pours a clear golden orange color, with a small head, and a little bit of lacing.
This smells like vanilla, caramel, coffee creamer, and booze.
I really enjoy the regular Caution Contains Real Pumpkin, and the idea of different barrel variants is honestly very enticing. But this honestly really didn’t work. It feels like whatever bourbon coffee liqueur came out of these barrels was not very high quality, as the coffee liqueur flavor here feels, cheap, harsh and stale – like some bourbon and kahlua left out on the counter overnight. It buries some interesting malt complexities, and the little spicy twists and turns from the pumpkin and spicing. This is really a big step down from the original beer.
This is medium bodied, kind of boozy, and finishes kind of flat on the palate.
The flavors here clashed really hard and just really did not work for my palate. This was one of the more disappointing Voodoo beers that I’ve ever had.
