Located slightly off the beaten path but right at a subway stop, this Svarnya has one entrance from the outside and a second directly from the shopping center next door. It is a square shape with one small non-smoking room sticking out from one corner. The bar is square and off center, with stools around three sides, while elevated seating runs parallel along two walls. There is additional seating above the bar. Their flyer claims 270 seats, although I would have guessed about 200. Decor is modern industrial, with gray tile on the floor, gray wood and brick walls, unfinished ceiling, and wood and metal furniture. The booths on one elevated platform each have their own beer tap. The rest of the taps at the bar look like they are coming out of propane tanks (the name means "welder's forge"). There are no windows, but a skylight above the bar provides some natural light. A fairly large fish tank sits, full of water but unoccupied, in one part of the seating area. The bathroom is clever, with the sinks inside beer kegs. The place was about 1/3 full on a Thursday at 2:30.
18 beers on tap when I was there, including two of their own: pale and dark. Along with the stuff one can find in a hundred other Moscow bars, there was Andechser Weizen and Bourgogne de Flanders. The glassware was without logos, but in the right form. The coasters were all wrong. The Bourgogne came out perhaps a bit too cold. The menu was plain, but the food looked good.
This place is not as far out of town as its two sisters, but still is not in an area most people would go. If you wanders do take you in the vicinity, the place is worth a look.
