A: Pale yellow color, moderate carbonation, rocky white head.
S: light buttery notes, straw, herbal hopping
T: little or no hops, sour bread notes with a buttery texture. straw ,applejuice, for flavor along with some corn and vegetable aftertaste.
M: Thin body, watery
D: why bother honestly. a struggle to finish, weak and lacking flavor much like a macro light beer.

500 ml bottle, bought in Riga. ABV is 4.6%. The name is Minhauzena, not Minhauzen. Is this beer possibly named after the notorious liar Baron von Münchausen? Pale golden colour, large and lasting head. Fairly malty sweetish aroma with notes of butterscotch and honey. The flavour is also quite sweet - too sweet for a pale lager, but reasonably malty with slightly metallic hops in the finish. Drinkable, but to call it a GREAT beer would be a lie, worthy of Baron von Münchausen!

Thanks to Globetrotter for entering this brewery in the system so I could post my review. Purchased at Spirits Unlimited in Red Bank, NJ.
One Pint 9 ounce bottle set me back a $1.59.

"It was the 1700's and Karl von Minhauzen was a legend: intelligent, elegant, likeable, friendly - a natural at everything he did. And so is this lager that bears his name -one taste and you'll see!"
If you "google" Minhauzen you will find that he is a sort of Latvian folk-hero. Legendary for his tales of adventure, some of which may have had a touch of falsehood to them. Anyway he has stamps printed in his honor and a museum. Can't be all bad, eh? The beer named in his honor is decent enough. Personally, for a man of his complex parts I would have named a Baltic Porter after him ... and perhaps said that it came from a recipe recovered from the belly of a sea monster in the Baltic. An origin of perhaps dubious authenticity but a tale worthy of the good baron.
Overall a it is likeable Euro Lager. No funky smells or tastes. pours pale gold/straw. Short-lived white head, minimal lacing. Faint floral hop aroma (thanks to a no funk -brown bottle!) Taste is clean but a little sweet, though this is typical for most beers of this style. Overall a very nice change of pace and worth keeping around for your macro drinking friends.
