Drank this smoky flavor train in Japan at Nawlins BBQ & Craft Beer House. NOTE: I drank this immediately following some spicy inidan food.
Color: Nicely dark. Imagine rubbed bronze in liquid form.
Head: Poured a solid 1.5 fingers of creamy, and tight, off white head that faded quickly. Light lacing for the duration of the glass.
Flavor: All malt upfront with classic smoked dominance. After is slightly bitter, but not in a bad way at all. Definately an aquired smoke taste, but each sip leaves me wanting more.
Overall: This was a great beer for my day, and I suspect for those looking for off the beaten path flavor will feel the same on most days. I will order again until they empty the keg.
