Appearance: dark brown in color with a 2" fluffy head that slowly fell.
Smell: malt sweetness is most dominating with a hint of spiciness.
Taste: nice malty profile with prunes, black plums, brown sugar, a hint of molassess, and a hint of spice. Bitterness is mild and does not seem to cut into the sweetness too much.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied. Lightly crisp to start, smooth at the finish. Relatively short aftertaste despite the maltiness of this brew.
Drinkability: nice flavor profile, but more of a slow sipping beer.

Poured a great deeep brown with some very nice head and lacing. Deep malty and sweet scent with huge molasses tones (it's made with two types of molasses, one of which is black strap). It has a great flavor, deep malt with a very interesting dark sweetness from the molasses; very warming and thick, it would make a great winter warmer, especially for those who find winter spices too cloying. Goes down very thick and very smooth, with a wonderful residual deep malt and dark sugar taste.
