03/12/06- On tap the Sebastopol Brewery in Sebastopol, CA
Presentation- via the tap into two sets of 4oz tasters.
Appearance- Dark amber-copper pour. 1/4 inch fading head with no lacing.
Smell- A deep sniff gets me some floral and fruity hop scents. Maybe a touch of lightly burnt malt as well.
Taste- Mostly pine with a touch of grapefruit flavoring in the hop. Very little malt, just enough for a secondhand flavoring.
Mouthfeel- Medium to lower carbonation level with a semi bitter aftertaste.
Drinkability- Not one of the better IPA's I have had. Will pass on this one.
