3/12/06- On tap at the Sebastopol Brewery in Sebastopol, CA.
Presentation- via the tap into two sets of 4oz tasters.
Appearance- Lucid garnet in color. Maybe a touch brown. 1/2 inch bubbly head with good lacing.
Smell- Roasted malt, hints of dark chocolate with a tiny bit of medicinal scent.
Taste- Burnt malt with a bit of a smoky edge. Fairly dry with a nice bitter hop flavor.
Mouthfeel- Bitter aftertaste with a low to medium carbonation level.
Drinkability- Not bad, many better ones out there, but drinkable.
