From a growler purchased the day before tasting:
Pours copper with a one-finger head that slowly descends to a thin cover. Some lacing sticks to the glass.
The smell is of soft tropical fruits, bready/earthy, mild whiffs of alcohol.
The taste is earthy, slightly woody, peppery spice. Slight butterscotch. Bitter hops with a sweet malt background. Well-balanced - to the point of I don't know about a "hop fest", though hops are fairly prominent. And, it does have a decent taste. Touch of peppery alcohol mixes with bittersweet in the finish.
It has a buttery smooth, medium body.
It does have its touch of hops, enough to push towards hoppy, with a balancing malt. Smooth and tasty enough to be "sessionable".

Appearance-nice clarity on the dark gold color, exceptional foamy head that sticks around forever.
Smell-lot of hops here, cascades are very noticable, a little alcohol comes in as well to
Taste-agressive and hoppy, name stands for something, Cascade and Vienna Hops really jump out here, finishes smooth yet slightly bitter which keeps it from perfection.
Mouthfeel-agressive but smooth, the beer goes down well with an ok aftertaste.
Drinkability-a flavorful pale ale that I would definitely have again, some good work here.
Overall-among the more flavorful APAs that I have had, a great interpretation of the style, a little rough aorund the edges but a more than solid job. Definitely worth a try.
