Not much of a head disappeared quickly. Copper color head. Bubbles moving slowly to the top.

Smell is sweet and bitter. I'm getting grapes, citrus, and I'm thinking raisins. When I give it a swirl I smell bubble gum. I never smelled bubble gum before in a beer. Weird.

I get grapes, some raisins, bitterness and booze but the taste is only noticeable when swallowed. It's interesting for sure. I like it but I don't.

The mouth feel is approaching medium body. Slightly acidic, carbonation is there. Feels okay.

Decently high ABV. I think it's a 7.3. Feels okay. Taste is okay. Drink ability is a little less than okay.

The growler fill on this was a little steep... 20 bucks. Was it worth it? Yes. Now I know NOT to get another growler of it. The buzz that comes with it might be worth the twenty, though.

This Old Ale is in the British Style according to Gaslight

Appearance- a radiant pitch black with a nice frothy inch of head that convulges and slowly falls away.

Smell-malty on all cylinders, it says they used five different types including Belgian Pale, chocolate, and caramel. Hops are also there but can't quite match the fruity malt characteristics, a lot going on here.

Taste-one thick ale, the fruity flavors are pronounced along with an agressive hop flavor, chocolate and caramel undertones sneak their way in, finishes smooth with one more blast of sweet fruit and an alcohol punch.

Mouthfeel-Complex yet smooth with many flavors hitting the palette makes this a great ale

Drinkability-definitely a slow sipping brew, the alcohol makes it's prescence known, still, I could see myself drinking more than one of these in a night and being satisfied.

Overall-one of Gaslight's most complex brews, flavorful with many different tastes for your mouth and drinkable, though one should be careful of the alcohol. Another fine beer to try here.
