The color is between mahogany and dark copper. A thick head descends to a lasting patch.
The smell is faint - some caramelish maltiness.
The taste is of caramel and enough earthy hops to balance it out. Not much stands out about it, but pleasant enough in its simplicity.
It has a smooth, medium body.
The smoothness and modest abv make this a decent "sessionable" Scottish Ale.
