On my second visit to this brewpub (April 2011) my little party ordered the touristy metre of beer. 12 glasses long, we asked for 6 of each (Pils and this Dunkel).
The beer comes a dull light brown, with not much of a head.
The nose was of toffee apples and sweet charred molasses.
The taste was sweet, but very drinkable, smooth with a toasty finish. One and half glassses each, I had some extra because the wife prefered the Pils!

Dunked with the Pils (see review), we expected something more characterized and convinced, but this did not happen. The beer has a robe of a monk colour with ruby reflects, brown foam with bubbles large and medium persistence.
Smell with a prevalence of malt, but light and with a little dusty. At he taste you feel the caramel a little more than into the smell, but just a little more.
In the aftertaste you can found more traces of malt and sweetness, maybe too much. At the end it appear a beer without particular peaks and quite anonymous. In our opinion the brew master can and must surely make bold and improve the quality of the product. It's a pity, because the place is cozy and familiar.
