It looks like cranberry juice as far as the look of the body goes. Not much head. It could be the way the bartender poured it.
Smell is bland cherry. Not much of a smell though.
Taste isn't that bad. Cherry and chocolate are the dominate tastes. Also this is pretty much all malts. Slightest of bitter hops.
Mouth feel is okay. Medium body slight carbonation.
This is pretty easy drinking for a 8% ABV. It's a sipper for sure. But easy drinking nonetheless.

Brought a growler home from the brewery, first time I've ever seen this one.
Appearance- Cola brown, with Dr. Pepper highlights... just a hint of red. Moderate head rises two fingers, without much persistence. Mild lacing that thins over time.
Smell- Wow... if you've ever sampled Heavyweight's Black Saison, you'll know what I mean... sour, metallic, quite pungent. Not at all what I would have expected.
Taste- Begins sour, then the malts taking over with a bready character. Mild hops come late, and the finish is cookie-like.
Mouthfeel/Drinkability- Very thin, considering the ABV... I would have liked a more malty, sweet doppelbock, but that's ok... this tasted very fresh and was different for the style.
