It is a dark brown with some slight ruby tinges and a light tan head. The aroma has a lot of roasted malts (coffee), sweet cream, and a sligth astringency. The body is light for a porter, but it is very smooth and creamy. There is some sweet lactose and roasted coffee notes. An excellent dessert beer. Much better than coffee.

J.J. Bitting- Cappa Cappa Crusher

Appearance- Dark black with a billowy head almost as dark as the beer.
Smell- Dark roast coffee with sweet milk chocolate.
Taste- 2 scoop black coffee blended with a sugary sweet chocolate.
Mouthfeel- Sweet, sweet, sweet. The beer finishes of a nice dry. Warming to the tongue.

Overall- Just too sweet for me. A cup of coffee with just too much cream and sugar.

From growler same evening as purchased.

Pours almost pitch black with a thin, lasting off-white head that leaves some traces of lacing.

The smell is of bitter, black coffee with some grainy notes.

The taste is of bitter, black, American coffee with some sweet cocoa shavings. Just a touch of milk/lactose flavoring is noticeable. Some earthy graininess lingers in the background. It is not far off from a beer version of I'll take my coffee with just a touch of cream and sugar with a hint of roasted grain and a slight touch of smokiness. More bitter than sweet. The coffee flavor really stands out.

The feel approaches, nearly reaches absolute full-bodied. Creamy and on the heavy side. Almost feels as some coffee grains are left in the mouth.

A unique, delicious (if you like coffee - as I do) drink. Try it with a dessert - esp. cheesecake. (Hmmm...how would this do as a breakfast drink.) Flavorful and smooth.

On tap, it's served just a bit too cold. Glad I got a growler to let it warm up just a bit.

A deep brown colored brew topped in an unusually pale colored head. I have seen very few brews with a body so dark and a head so light. Lace is left all over my glass as it eventually dies down. Sweet aroma of chocolate and coffee. Roasty but sweet, like a great dessert.

It is smooth and milky just like they said it would be. It is near thin, but not quite. There is definitely still enough body and flavor. Roasty malts and coffee flavor are accompanied by delicious blasts of chocolate as this silky beverage slides down the hatch. I had a mocha latte after my meal, and the whipped topping combined with the coffee and chocolate was almost like a hot version of this brew, especially as far as mouthfeel goes. This is a not to miss brew.

Wow. This was different. I am not a big fan of milk Stouts but I like where this beer is trying to go. Pours almost black with a medium creamy beige head. Thin and slow lacing. The aroma is roasty and malty. Medium-bodied with an interesting blend of coffee, chocolate and malt. Very creamy texture throughout, and the finish stays in line with that. This was very good.

An excellent coffee-milk porter. A dark rich color, with a coffee colored head and very nice lace. Aromas of coffee and burnt malt. Flavor is rich with lots of coffee notes. Creamy, smooth, and delicious. Hard to restrain yourself from gulping it all down. Wonderful. Had to buy a growler after trying it.

Sweet coffee-milk porter that is as refreshing as it is potent. Tingles the buds on the tongue in a manner that sometimes makes you forget that beer this good is to be enjoyed, not devoured. A dark rich color, perfect and impurity free. Coffee rich and mild burnt aroma that sets up the palate for a real treat. This one, as all of JJ's offering, runs the course through the suite of sensations marvelously, as it is fresh enough to accomplish that
