Had on tap at JJ Bitting. Poured a deep yellow color with decent head that stuck around for a while. Aroma was very fruity with strong raspberry and powerful wheat smell. Taste was similar with rasperry at first, giving way to well balanced wheat, not too sweet on the finish, very nice, a real beer and not just fruit juice.

J.J. Bitting- Raspberry Wheat

Appearance- Yellow, almost bright yellow with a huge foamy head. The head just sat there throughout the beer.
Smell- Raspberries of course. Slight wheat/ hay aroma as well.
Taste- Immediate raspberry but not too strong like most fruit beers. Slight wheat aftertaste.
Mouthfeel- Sugary sweet with a dry finish.

Overall- A definite surprise. The fruit was subdued but represented nicely. A nice summer beer.

Pours straw colored with a good head and nice lace. Fresh raspberries in the aroma and flavor. Aroma hits you as soon as the glass is set before you. The raspberries are not too overpowering though and this is a nice light and crisp beer. Good after the meal or for a change of pace.

Poured straw yellow with a small lacing.
The smell was of hints of - raspberry. that's it.
The taste was thin - some raspberry - The description claimed that it was in the style of Belgian - I did not find that to be the case at all - nothing like a lambic or a Cantillon...not even much of a wheat beer. Watery with some raspberry flavor.
There was some creaminess in the mouth - but, it almost disguised the raspberry.
Not much to it -- a very light beer - some raspberry and creaminess - nothing at all like a Belgian-style - They should remove that from the description.
It reminded my of the Longtrail Blackbeary in many ways - substitute raspberry with blackberry.
It's not awful - but, could be much better.

This was a true model of what a fruit/wheat beer should be. Great job on this one by JJ's and nailed it. Good enough to bring home a growler with me - absolutely delicious without being overpowering.

A: Good head on the beer and had a pale yellow coloring, a little light for what you would expect for a wheat.

S: Some wheatiness to it, but lots and lots of raspberry that jump right out at you.

T: Raspberry was there enough- not as much as aroma but it was a really pure natural taste. Not annoyingly fake or sugary.

M: Sweetness and wheat texture.

D: Outstanding. Sometimes hard to continue with fruity beers but this one never relented or got boring.

While the smell was intense, the taste didnt provide overkill and was pleasure to drink several and then a couple more.

First had: on tap at the Garden State Craft Brewers Guild 15th Annual Beer Festival, USS New Jersey, Camden, NJ

Poured a slightly hazy straw yellow with a huge, fluffy, white head, that died down a bit eventually. Raspberries in the aroma, and not a whole lot else. Big raspberry taste up front, but not sickeningly sweet. Grains and wheat noticeable after the initial fruity kick; not harsh or acidic, pretty well balanced. Light bodied and quite drinkable. Yes, wheat beers can be refreshing and taste good too! Wish there were more like this.

On tap at the JJ Bitting Brew Pub.

Poured a medium golden color with an averaged sized white head. Nice raspberry aroma. Tastes of light raspberries with some wheat. I liked the way the raspberries were done in this (raspberries are one of my favorite fruits for beer).

A very light colored beer, wiht a small head. A good amount of carbonation, with a strong raspberry flavor. Not bad, light and refreshing. This would have been better in the Summer, not late december, all in all, a pretty good beer. J.J.'s did have other beers that were far superior.

This is nice for someone who wants something slightly different, slightly extraordinary. Not much of a hop signature, Light and crisp like J.J.'s Victoria's. Raspberry aroma's envelope you as a glass of this nears your face. Raspberry’s are a vital ingredient and make this one worthwhile. A must see for fans of this type.

Served as part of a sampler tray at their restaurant. Pale and golden yellow. No real hint in the appearance that this is a fruit beer. The aroma is fruity with fresh raspberries in the forefront, and sweet malt in the background. The taste is very nicely balanced – sweet berries, bitter fruit hop bite and a soft and sweet maltiness. Medium bodied and finely textured. This is a simple fruit beer that leaves some sourness from the wheat malt on the tongue. Beautifully done.

Enjoyed at the brewpub.
Served as a hazy amber beer with moderate white chunky head.
Smell is fruity, as would be expected, but rather subdued.
Taste is also fruity, but very light, so as to be enjoyable without being offensive.
Very nice, light, and refreshing.
Fruit beers are not my favorite, but this one I enjoyed.

Pours a barely foggy gold. Nothing on the nose besides raspberry. Mildly raspberry flavor that is not obnoxiously overpowering or too much like it's got a load of crappy raspberry additive in it. Feel is typical. Overall this isn't bad. Raspberry flavor beer. I've certainly had some shitty fruit beers in my time and this is not one of them.

It pours a golden color. The aroma has a lot of fresh raspberry (duh) and some maltiness. The berry is at the forefront of the taste with some sweet grains. The finish is clean and has some slight sourness. A nice refreshing beer. It is low in bitterness and the fruit takes center stage, but it is not overly sweet. It is just well done.
