Brought back (and divided between three people) by a friend of mine - tasted the same day.
Pours clouded/murky orangeish brown - clouded apple cider comes to mind. A thin head grows and immediately fizzles to nothing. Looks too murky.
The smell is banana, cinnamon, pepper and bready notes. Nice aroma - don't know that "triple" would have come to mind - but, nice! (Different, for sure.)
The taste is of cinnamon, clove - some banana fruitiness - yeasty with a bit of candy sugar with some grassiness in the finish.
Thin, but with a certain smoothness.
It's pretty drinkable despite drawbacks - alcohol more than reasonably well-covered - don't know that I would have guessed a "triple" per se.

I remember when they opened this place.. and I hadn't been back in a long time but found myself in the area last night and figured wha the heck, in the past I have been very unimpressed by their brews.
eyes:
orange murk, cloudy but consistent glass to glass, little to no lacing, minimal head, good look to this beer staring back at me
nose:
slight yeast notes, coriander, orange ? very faint. Granted this is a bar on a friday night and people were smoking etc but it was hard to get much of anything out of this one, no belgian funk odor whatsover
taste:
nice solid all around mix of the candy sweetness, spot on carbonation, lively enough in the mouth, yeasty finish, almost tastes like a tripel/white combo at times (the spiciness of it) but not to a detriment.
verdict:
enjoyable. solid all the way around and very drinkable..though you have to watch it cause the ABV does catch up with you right quick ! definitely worth having...
From the bar talker:
"our triple is brewed with 825 lbs. of German Pilsner malt lending a deceivingly pale complexion and medium body. Belgian Abbey yeast gives this beer its unique fruity flavor and aroma, while Czech Saaz hops add to its spicy floral bouquet. 8.2% abv."

Served as part of a sampler tray at their brewpub. This beer poured a very light and clear golden yellow and seemed to almost glow in the light. Thinning head that vanished even before the first sip. Theres a sticky candy sweetness in the aroma. Similar qualities in the taste, but it was lighter than I expected. It was nice. Flavorful and not overly sweet. Actually it seems to have a perfect balance of sweet candy malts, citrus hop bitterness and went finished pretty smooth. A light drinking and enjoyable Trippel.
