I did not taste the vanilla either but this is a pretty sturdy brew of the sipping variety. Theit mare tranquil is similar but has a strong bourbon taste.

A lot of cinnamon in this beer, maybe a little too much. I didn't really find the vanilla until swishing the beer in my mouth a few times. Not much to the base beer, but enough to hold everything together.
