"A blend of our traditional oatmeal stout and sweet lactose sugar which results in a velvety smooth mouthfeel. Well balanced, including coffee accents from an abundance of assorted roasted malts."

Had a pint of this about an hour ago after a great dinner at the restaurant. Was pretty good stuff and since I'm off tommorrow and have been into milk stouts lately I had a growler filled. Here goes the growler tasting.

Growler filled a little less than an hour ago poured into a 20 ounce nonic pint glass.

A - A very black stout with the tiniest brown appearance on the edges when held up to light has a nice looking bubbly one inch plus dark tan head on top. Beautiful look.

S - Dark roast coffee with some tiny chocolate aromsas with a hint of hops in there. A great malty smell that really has a coffee kick. I remember with my dinner thinking this smelled more like coffee than any other stout I've had and it's the same way out of the growler.

T - A very bitter initial sip with a dark coffee flavor that gives way to some sweetness before finishing with a great coffee taste with a tiny chocolate hint in there. I've never had a mochachino but I can sense the chocolate/coffee mix here, especially on the finish. The aftertaste is nearly all coffee flavor with some sweetness.

M - Very full and also smooth. Actually does have a milklike consistency in the mouth. Creamy but not overly thick and very nice overall.

D - Very good. The bitterness and sheer coffee like flavor might make this a one and done for some people but I can drink quite a bit and the interesting taste makes me want more. highly drinkable stout.
