Pours bright reddish copper with a thin head that soon becomes a swirl then disappears. It returns briefly with a gentle swirl.
Caramel sweetness with an alcohol undertone.
It's a Marzen made with rye. The hops are very subdued, making it sweet, but with a rye dryness. A touch of smokiness in the back. The alcohol adds to the dryness. It has a fairly mild taste.
Light to medium body. It's fairly smooth, despite a growing alcohol noticeability. Not bad, but not flavorful enough for me to want more than the one glass I had.
