On tap at harvest moon, boldly poured into a pint glass.
A: Dark amber, with a thinner head than expected. Didnt really look like a triple.
S: Belgian bubble gum and yeast. Citrus.
T: Citrus and spice with a strong kick of alcohol that gave you a bit of a whack. Fumey but the hops were pleasant. Good job on this one.
M: Tight and smooth, nice fiery burn that wasnt medicinal.
D: Really tasted the alcohol but delicious nonetheless. This is one that deserves a growler buy before they take it off. Third time Ive had this batch and better each time.

On-tap at Harvest Moon on 3/22/2008. They served it to me in a standard pint glass. I don't know why they didn't serve it to me in a Snifter. There was a whole shelf of them behind the bar.
Mumbling Monk poured a hazy light cranberry/crimson red color with a 1/2 inch head of foam. The head of foam was this off white color. It looked like it couldn't decide if it wanted to be a beige color or a white color. This head of foam had retention that left behind foamy rings along the edge and a few spots of lace here and there. It had a medium to heavy (if swirled around) aroma ripe banana, cloves, and a subtle aroma of citrus fruits and lightly toasted malts. The banana ruled over this aroma! It had a mildly hoppy taste that featured fruity hops, lightly toasted malts, ripe banana, cloves, and a smidge of yeast at the end. For a 7.5% to 7.8% ABV beer, it was a light to medium bodied beer that had an aftertaste of citrus hops, citrus fruits, and a small slice of banana. Overall, it was a pretty good take on a Belgian style of beer. I still think the beer would have been a little better if it was served in a Snifter.

Pours a nice goldne orange with a creamy orange-tinged white head. Yeasty, clovey aroma. Above average sweetness for the style plus lots of phenolic yeast character and a bright orange fruitiness.
Very drinkable for how rich it is with alcohol that is well-hidden amongst the sweetness.
