Imperial Porter brewed with massive amounts of flaked oats, chocolate malt, and brown sugar. After fermentation, it was aged for an extensive period of time on 100 lbs. of freshly toasted coconut. The result is a creamy, silky mouthfeel with just enough sweetness. Incredibly bold complex beer with big flavors of coconut, roasted nuts, and dark chocolate.

Light carbonation, around a medium body
Aroma is coconut, roasted malt, black coffee
Taste followed the aroma, had a little alcohol taste and burn. Wasn't overly complex but was solid and very flavorful. Would definitely get this again when I visit their brewery again

On-tap at Harvest Moon Brewery & Cafe, New Brunswick, NJ
A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a thin light beige head that left a thin layer of bubbles on the surface and a collar around the edge of the glass; this eventually completely faded away.
S: Light aromas of coconuts are present in the nose along with notes of dark malts.
T: The taste follows the smell and has lots of flavors of dark malts along with notes of lactose and hints of coconuts. There is a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is much heavier than a traditional porter and in some aspects drinks more like an Imperial Stout, but it has nice flavors of dark malts with bits of coconuts.
Serving type: on-tap
