newer one from these guys apparently, or at least recently back on tap, and the pour is amazing, a kettle sour, not a wild ale as listed i do not believe, done with currants. its as color saturated as can be, like red and purple permanent markers exploded in a beer glass. the body is ruby and violet at the same time, the head is blood and flamingo, red and pink, electric, hot, maxed out, its lovely. the nose is a little less exciting, currant acidity on par with the lactic souring, neither stands in front of the other, they almost lose one another as a result. some lemon to the souring in the flavor, the currant is obvious, but this cant be real fruit right? not at this saturation, or it would be a more expensive pint probably. i cant say for sure, but i would guess a puree or concentrate, whole fruit would be so impressive, but also probably have more flavor. this is tannic in a good way, fermented near dry, and as a result loses some of its flavor, this is kind of mild in taste for how intensely colored it is, but the body stays light, the carbonation is there, and this is definitely objectively the better of the two beers i had time to drink in here. this is a pretty ambitious brew for a sports bar sort of place, neat spot though overall, laramie is booming in terms of beer right now, love to see it!
