Light, speckled off-white foam is not especially persistent. Hazy straw-colored medium golden amber beer.
Mild lemony aroma, with a touch of German yeast and hay.
Pungent flavor has plenty of lightly toasted malt and a moderate hop bitterness to finish. Definitely German-style hops, with a slightly metallic note. A tiny hint of sweetness in the aftertaste, like a cracker that you chew for a long time.
Effervescent mouthfeel, the beer quite aerated by tiny bubbles.
Fairly light and crisp, this beer can be put down quickly

Got this one in a trade from jwc215, a promotional bottle. It pours a deep yellow color with a quarter inch white head. Smells of yeast and grass. Tastes of yeast, lemony citrus, with a moderate amount of bitterness. Fairly smooth mouthfeel, not that the carbonation was low, but not a lot of "punch" to it, sort of benign. A nice beer, very drinkable and enjoyable.

Had this beer the other day. Poured a dark amber color with minimal lacing. Smelled a malty and earthy. The taste was fairly malty with earthy undertones to, I guess, emphasize that "older" beer taste. There were some faint hoppy characters in the aftertaste, but otherwise nothing too noticeable. The mouthfeel was nice and full-bodied. I could drink this beer; it was smooth, and easy to drink. Very good beer with a slightly alcoholic finish that was slightly warming.

Had on-tap at brewery:
Pours golden yellow with a creamy, lasting head that leaves some lacing.
The smell is of light grain - mild.
The taste is of sweet grain balanced by an earthy, slightly nutty bitterness in the back. Slight hint of warming alcohol in the finish. Simple, but tasty and smooth in a fairly creamy, medium body.
A nice, mild Mai Bock. MUCH better than last's year's Bock. Not as sweet, and "tweaked" nicely. Would like to see this bottled for next late spring, as it would be a good drinkable brew for the season.
