Served in a snifter glass.
Appearance: Hazy amber body with medium bubbles creating a thin head with a vigorous pour coming straight white.
Smell: Light toffee, with the scent of rum. Very light smell.
Taste: Sweet caramel taste with a heavy dose of alcohol that might be overwhelming to some. Honestly should be paired with dessert.
Mouth: Sticky, but seems a bit flat...lighter carbonation maybe due to packing reasons or age of the beer.
Overall: I love barleywines because of the complexity they offer, this one lacks that punch. It's simple, tastes like alcohol and barley. Factoring in price you can get much better for the money. Hope you enjoy...Salud!

22 oz bottle, no date
appears a hazy dark copper color, with 1/2" cream colored head. decent lacing. just a bit of malt sweetness in the aroma. taste is dominating by a nice bready caramel flavor. mild earthy hop flavor in there too. mellow and smooth flavors. medium to thick body, coats the mouth. soft carbonation.
overall - mild easy drinking barleywine.

Pretty basic bronze color. Ok carbonation. Rather still. Buttery and toffee like aroma. Big malty flavor. Again very buttery and toffee like in the flavor department. Mild "wood" flavor. Lingering dried fruit. Slight bite-more so from the alcohol then hops. Sticky and gummy mouthfeel. Lip smackin good. Nice UK barleywine for sure.
