Golden ale by style. Korruption Kolsch has consistently been the number one ale ordered at the brew pub. This is a pale straw colored beer with very pleasant malted barley flavors. This is not a very bitter beer. Kolsch features just enough hops to balance out the malt flavors. This very easy drinking beer is a great introduction to craft brewed beers for the common domestic beer drinker.

I had a pint of this at my local Old Chicago:
It poured a nice clear straw gold with a small head of foam that stayed for the entire session.
The smell is very delicate. I note some malt sweetness and that's about it.
The taste is very delicate but there's some malt sweetness with a touch of hop bitterness midway through that lasts through the finish. This is a really smooth beer that has just enough flavour to keep you interested and it's quite a drinkable beer. I had it with a grilled sirloin steak..
Bottom line: I don't have much experience with the style but this one certainly is a nice sample that is tasty and very drinkable. I think I found a new session beer! I can recommend it.
