when you make a beer this basic, it had better be technically proficient, if not downright exact, and t feel like they got pretty close with this. its about as minimal as they come, nothing really at all from the yeast, and since this isn’t trying to be a wit or a hefe, i guess that’s a good thing. this is real pale, light looking but not clear, and has a nice white head on it from the tap, i can see the bubbles rising up through the straw colored liquid, good pour. smells real minimal too, some earthy white wheat malt is near all, perhaps a subtle floral note from whatever hops are sprinkled into this, but those are way back. the flavor is about the same, and for once i am thankful this isn’t super dry, if it were, this might not taste like much. instead it had a consistent flavor of the fresh wheat from start to finish, a little bready but not toasted or anything, almost a pasta water vibe too, and is relatively clean on the ferment. I am also thankful for the high carbonation, it keeps this feeling like beer, and i am surprised its as strong as it is, the body is real light and so is the flavor. just my second from these guys, not real inspiring in terms of recipe, but its important to get the basics right and i am confident in saying that accomplished that here.
