Big in body and flavor, our Dopplebock would have surely been a favorite of Friar Tuck! With notes of caramel, toffee, and toasted bread with a slight bitterness for balance. 19 IBU

On tap at the brewery, served in a pint glass.

Look: Brown, with a 1/4” light tan head that dissipated into a foam ring and left abundant finely-bubbled lacing.

Nose: Medium roast, toffee, and caramel.

Attack: Follows the nose, adding significant depth of flavor.

Finish: Appropriate bitterness to balance.

Mouthfeel: Medium, smooth, adequate carbonation.

Overall: This is a credible doppelbock, bolder in flavor than many, and very drinkable. You should know that this review is being written by a veteran of Cincinnati’s annual Bockfest. Nice work, Wind River!
