A traditional Belgian Quad, this heavy hitting beer is rich in malty flavor with notes of brown sugar, raisins, and spice. Be careful, if you drink too much, you may de-evolve from a biped to a quadruped.

Served on tap at the brewery in a goblet they call a snifter.
Look: Opaque brown, with a slight light tan foam ring that left just a little finely-bubbled lacing.
Nose: Raisins, some brown sugar, a hint of cinnamon and perhaps some other spices.
Attack: Dark roast, then follows the nose. Alcohol evident.
Finish: A little bitterness from the dark roast; appropriate to style.
Mouthfeel: Medium, maybe a bit more carbonation than needed.
Overall: Not a bad quad, easy to drink. Not as full a flavor as I’d expect from a Belgian Quad, but … I wouldn’t be unhappy to drink it again. It is a very nice pairing with the Brewmaster Burger (burger, brisket, Swiss cheese, onion rings … ) I’m enjoying with it.
