Howler style, purchased from the Liquor Shed.
A black brew with a small fine head of foam that's shrinking as I type this. A wee bit of lacing left behind.
Chocolate, some cherry, some alcohol in the nose. Deep whiffs reveal more of the slightly tart cherries.
Siping rather briskly, the chocolate stands out with nay a presence of any cherry goodness. Slow sips and the occasional swish in the mouth and voila...whoomp, there it is. It's not really tart, more of a vinous flavour. Nice, though. Oh and the alcohol is not hidden that well but it's a cold day here so that, is welcome.
Medium body, lightish carbonation.
A good tasting brew here, that won't bowl anybody over I think, but it and many others don't have to be for one to enjoy them.
Btw, Milk Stout is in the name and it does have that MS kind of taste now and then. I'll do some more research and if needed, I'll submit a change request. Their website doesn't help as it hasn't been updated in years.
