A- it pours a dark copper colour, think English Dark Mild/Bitter, with a 1 inch head of foam, and leaves good lacing.
S- nice bitter aroma of grapefruit, more citrus, no sign of any malt sweetening. I'll go with a pleasant bitterness.
T- not nearly as bitter as the smell. The grapefruitiness is on the mild side, probably tempered by a more than decent malt presence, which I'd call on the caramel sweet side vs bready or toasty.
The more I drink, the more balanced this seems to get and I'm digging it.
M- medium goes for the body and carbonation. Good in this department as well.
O- this is a solid brew from Lander and if you like your IPAs on the more balanced side, I think you'd like this one.
I see a 4 now says "outstanding". Well, I guess this is. I sure enjoyed it.
