Pours a black color. 1/3 inch head of a tan color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of roasted malt, sweet malt, hint of alcohol, and a hint of hops. Fits the style of an American Black Ale. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level; noticeable bitterness from the roasted malt. Tastes of roasted malt, hops, sweet malt, hint of alcohol, hint of yeast, and a hint of dark citrus. Overall, good appearance, body, and blend, but weaker aroma and too bitter of body.

This pours black with a good firm head of off white foam and has some good lacing.
The smell is of roasted malt, cocoa, coffee, and some caramel malt sweetness but overall, it's more bitter than sweet.
The taste is pretty damn good. Roasted malt, light notes of coffee, assertive flavour of cocoa and an underlying sweet note of caramel that brings some nice balance to the bitter notes.
The mouthfeel is good..medium body, same for the carbonation.
All in all, I'm quite happy with this locally brewed Black Ale. Visitors to Casper should give it a shot.
