Pours a slightly cloudy, light gold/straw coloration with a medium, foamy head. Smells of faint biscuity malt and grassy, citrus hops. Taste is a decent balance of biscuity malt, grassy, citrus hops, wheat and a hint of yeast esters of banana and clove. A tad soapy, but not too bad, really. Finishes with a very light bitterness and light wheat/yeast notes lingering in the aftertaste. Medium body and carbonation.
All in all, this was a pleasant surprise. Decent Blonde Ale that is almost more reminiscent of a Belgian Blonde Ale than an American one with its subtle wheat and estery yeast notes. A little bit soapy and watery, perhaps, but really not too bad and perfectly drinkable, really.
