The beer has been intented as as a "red version" (says so on the label) of A. Le Coq Special. Both are supposedly brewed to celebrate the 200th anniversary (1807) of the A. Le Coq trademark.
Pours amber with large and airy slightly off-white head that slowly fades to one finger thickness and stays like that till end of the glass, nice looking patchy lacing. Aroma is rich malt, a bit spicy, some caramel can be felt.
Taste is malt with some bittery hops, medium-dry finish and unpleasant lightly astringent aftertaste. Mouthfeel is rather smooth ligh-medium with moderate or slightly less than moderate carbonation.
Overall, it looks and pours great, but tastes awful. So much of the premium stuff.
